Guardianship Representative – Oshkosh Wisconsin
Oshkosh Family Incorporated is hiring for the position of full-time Guardianship Representative.

Job Duties:
- Completes required Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) as assigned by the Executive Director and required by the State of Wisconsin
- Assists with training and education of Agency interns
- Manages a caseload of agency wards including but not limited to the duties listed below:
- Explains the role of the guardian, the rights of the ward, and ward grievance rights and filing processes
- Notifies relevant agencies and individuals of the guardianship appointment and provides appropriate documentation
- Gains knowledge of ward’s medical status
- Assists wards by making medical and financial decisions as defined by each wards Determination and Order court papers and the Wisconsin Administrative code and related regulations for guardians
- Obtains required court approvals for financial reimbursements from the Ward’s funds as required by state statute and / or county mandate
- Ensures that the ward receives needed medical and financial services and is properly cared for, provided for, has the opportunity to exercise legal rights and has a face-to-face contact with his or her Guardianship Representative at least every three months
- Provides wards with information and referrals to other community resources as appropriate
- Performs all other duties as determined appropriate by the Executive Director
Requirements:
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision
- Demonstrate ability to represent Oshkosh Family in a professional manner to clients, partnering agencies and in the community
- Must demonstrate an ability to deal with guardianship clients in an effective & compassionate manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge in the issues relating to guardianship and the related local, county and state regulations
- Must pass a Wisconsin Caregiver background check, including criminal records check for WI and previous states of residence
- The Guardianship Representative must have an undergraduate degree in Social work, Human Services or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, including a College Degree and work experience
Physical Requirements:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position for an adult and requires the employee to work 35 hours per week for full-time roles. The incumbent in this role is required to have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, insured to liability limits defined by state law to use during the normal course of performing assigned duties.
